Sol-Gel / Chemical Solution Deposition Science and Technology

We have been working in the field of sol-gel chemistry since the late 1980s, and have successfully developed sol-gel processes for numerous and diverse projects.

Some examples of our successes in the field of sol-gel science are:

• The development of a production process for creating Barium Strontium Titanate (BST) thin-films for integrated capacitor array manufacturing at a large semiconductor company.

• The preparation of high thermal stability, low-friction ceramic materials for possible jet engine applications.

• The development of nanocrystalline MgF₂/SiO₂ composite materials with possible optics applications.

• The chemical solution deposition of oriented MgO thin-films on semiconductor substrates, ideally suited for use as nucleation layers for other thin-film materials.
